Stanhopea eburnea was first published by John Lindley in the Botanical Register, p. 1529 (need volume and year).
This image is a scan of chromolithograph published in the 1886 folio "Lindenia Iconographie des Orchidees," edited by J. Linden and published by P. De Pannemaeker del.
The size of the original print is 13 1/2" x 10 1/2".
Flowers are large and full, pure white with a touch of rose on the hypochile of the lip. This species is accepted today as Stanhopea grandiflora.
